There are hotels that offer a reduction in price based on the age of child, as well as transportation companies that have special rates for children based on age.

These reductions/ special rates, that might be true when someone individually books a hotel room or a ticket - in an airline, ferry company,etc - may not apply when making a reservation at a travel package. On our site, you make a reservation at a package, which is a combination of 2 or more services, and not individually at each service; therefore different policies apply.

How to check if the accommodation facility I chose offers reductions for children?

The price of the package is valid for children with possible reduction, only if the accommodation facility you chose offers such reduction and the child is accommodated in the same room with 2 adults (parents/ family/ travel companion).

You may check if the accommodation facility offers price reductions for children in the detailed information of the package before you start with the reservation process, in the section “Children discount”. Given there is such a section in the detailed information of the package, the reduction mentioned in it will be automatically calculated by the system in the last step of the reservation process after having registered the full info of the child (full name, date of birth, etc)

If there is not such a section in the detailed information of the package you chose, it means that the price of the travel package is valid for the children with no reduction possible.

Alternatively, you may also use the search filter of “Family Friendly” in order to see exclusively the accommodation facilities that offer reduction in price for children and choose amongst them

How do I find the family friendly travel packages regarding the accommodation?

​​​​​​​Having done the main search and after choosing the departure date, on the left part of the site you will see the additional search filters; one of which is the Family friendly. By pressing it, only the travel packages with accommodation in facilities that offer reductions for children will appear.

Opening up a specific travel package from “View Package”, scroll down to the section “Children discount” in the detailed information of the package, in order to see exact discount based on the age of the child.

During the reservation process, and after filling in the information of the child, the system will automatically calculate the reduction in price based on the age and the selected room type. 

You will see this reduction, given possible based on your choices and the policy of the hotel, in the section below “Participants”, namely the section of Synopsis where you will see per participant the relevant charges, meaning the basic price of the package, additional charges or extra services added during the steps of the reservation process as well as the reduction per individual. 

What is valid for the transportation and the children?​​​

If a transportation company provides for individual bookings special rates, this does not mean that this special rate can apply for a travel package on our site.

Regarding transportation by bus or airplane, there is no discount/special rate for children. If you choose a travel package with ferry transport, the general discount of our company is greater than any special rate for children offered by the ferry company.

Therefore, any potential reduction in the price of the travel package for children is possible only in regards to the accommodation facility as explained above.

IMPORTANT! If there is a minor travelling, they must be registered during the reservation process regardless of age, as e.g. for ferry transport there has to be a ticket for them (the existence of tickets for all passengers is legally binding) while they must be included in the receipts of the reservation regardless of the means of transport.
